Molars!

After about a month of trying, Adan's molars have finally pushed through on his right side. His canine on the upper right is also trying to push through. As painful as it must be, he's handling it pretty well. He's such a tough boy!!

Adan's first Mardi Gras

Miguel and I brought Adan to his first Mardi Gras parade yesterday. It was right here in Lake Charles. I've never been to such a POLITE parade!! Usually, people knock you over to get beads. Yesterday, people were giving each other beads, and jumping OUT of the way. It was definitely a change from the Slidell/New Orleans parades I grew up with! Adan had a good time, but he was soooo tired by the end. Before the parade, we went to a "children's day" at the Civic Center. He got a balloon, some cookies and a little crown. We had alot of fun.

Baton Rouge Zoo

On Friday Adan and I met Leslie, Devin, Brice and Carly at the Baton Rouge zoo. It was a very interesting day. We had fun at the zoo, even though the poor animals looked like they were starving. Poor Leslie got lost on the way to meet us, then we both got lost on the way home! It took four hours to get from BR back to my house- a trip that usually takes 2.5 hours! Anyway- the kids had fun, I think. Here are some photos from that day:

Adan loves APPLES

An apple a day keeps the doctor away!! Adan did this to the apple all by himself. He's making good use of those teeth! He looks sweet, doesn't he? I didn't get pictures of what happened when I took the apple away from him. LOL

First haircut

Adan had his first haircut yesterday. He was so good for the hair dresser. Not once did he cry or scream. We were impressed! He kept trying to look behind him to see what she was doing, and when she pulled out the clippers and put them to the back of his head, he started cracking up laughing. I guess the buzzing tickled.
